These episodes in particular went by very quickly. There's a heavy focus on Kleya, and we get to see what everyone's up to right before Rogue One happens.
I wasn't expecting anyone to survive this show, but they did – Vel, Kleya, Bix, Wilmon, Dedra, and maybe some others I can't remember at the moment. As for deaths, there's Lonni, Luthen, Partagaz, and Heert.
Lonni's the one who finds out about the Death Star, and as a reward, gets killed by Luthen. He really deserved better than that. He was a mole for years and no one in the ISB suspected anything!
Unsurprisingly, Dedra's own ambition killed her career. She was in possession of information she should not have had, in order to get ahead, and all it got her was accusations of being a Rebel spy and sent to a Narkina-5-like prison. I really wish this season had more episodes to flesh things out – I don't remember any mention of Dedra getting those documents in previous episodes. It would have been interesting to see that – her initial reactions and keeping it a secret.
For some reason, I wasn't expecting to see Bail Organa on Yavin. I also wasn't expecting a flashback to Cassian's sister. Or to see B2, and learn where Bix went after she left Yavin. Or another recording of Nemik's manifesto, with Partagaz listening to it and realizing everything he's worked for has failed.
